Vegas is a city that does complete justice to its name - Sin City. A place where secrets are left behind and confessions are hard to come by. But Candy Chang has turned the tide by working on a public art project where people confessed their dark secrets; anonymously of course.
’Confessions' is an art project organized by The Cosmopolitan and Art Production Fund. The hotel's art gallery has been transformed into a confessional, where people write their secrets on wooden plaques.
The plaques are later displayed in the gallery, with some of them painted on big canvasses by artist Candy Chang.
The idea was to let gamblers and hotel guests browse through secrets of complete strangers and also admit to something that they wouldn’t normally without the veil of anonymity. More then 1500 confessions were made and displayed on the walls of The Cosmopolitan, confessions like I eat too much cheese, I still love her two girlfriends and five years later, I’m 30 and I’ve never had an orgasm, I stole $15,000 from the company I work for and many more like these.
If you were promised anonymity, what would you confess to?
